Roulette

The game of roulette is played on a spinning wheel with 37 slots, numbered from 0 through 36. The slots alternate in color between red and black and the 0 is green. The objective of this game is to guess which slot a ball will land in when the wheel is spun. Before the game begins players place their bets. The ball is then placed on the outer edge of the spinning wheel and as the wheel slows down the ball falls into one of the slots. Players that bet on the correct slot are paid.

When it comes to betting in roulette there are a large number of options. Players can bet on a single number, on odds, evens, black, red or groups of numbers. Bets are placed on a table, in which all numbers are listed in a chart with three columns of twelve numbers each. Players can choose from outside bets or inside bets. Outside bets include even-money bets (red or black, odds or evens, high numbers or low numbers), dozen bets or column bets. Inside bets include split bets, straight bets, corner bets, five number bets and line bets. Players may place any number or combination of bets on a single spin. Following is a more detailed explanation of the types of bets you can place in roulette.

Inside Bets:

Straight Bet

The straight bet is a bet on a single number. This bet is made by placing a chip on the roulette table in the center of the number that you are betting on. Straight bet wins pay 35:1.

Split Bet

The split bet is a 2-number bet. This bet is made by placing a chip on a line between two separate numbers on the roulette table. If the ball lands on either one of the numbers in the split bet the player is paid out 17:1.

Street Bet

The street bet is a 3-number bet. This bet is made by placing a chip outside of a row of three numbers that the player wants to bet on. If any of these three numbers is spun the player is paid out 11:1.

Corner Bet

The corner bet is a 4-number bet. This bet is made by placing a chip on the intersecting lines in the center of four numbers. If any of these four numbers is spun the player is paid out 8:1.

Five Bet

The five bet is placed on the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 by placing a chip on the outside of the dividing line between the 0 and 1. If any of these five numbers are spun the payout is 6:1.

Six Line Bet

The six line bet is placed on two adjacent rows of three numbers each. This bet is made by placing a chip between the outer line where the two rows meet. The pay out is 6:1.

Outside Bets:

Even Money Bets

In roulette, even money bets pay 1:1. These include bets on either red or black, even or odd numbers, or high or low numbers (1-18 or 19-36). These bets are placed on the corresponding areas marked on the table.

Dozen Bet

A dozen bet is placed on a group of 12 numbers. Dozen bets can be placed on numbers 1-12, 13-24 or 25-36. These spots are marked on the betting table as 1st 12, 2nd 12 or 3rd 12. Dozen bets pay out 2:1.

0 and 00 Bet

These bets are placed on 0 or 00 and pay 35:1.

Column Bet

The column bet is placed on one of the columns of 12 numbers by placing a chip on the 2 to 1 areas on the table. This bet pays out 2:1.

Blackjack

The game of blackjack is the most popular casino card game in the world. The game, which originated in France, is played against a dealer with a simple objective-to obtain a hand that is worth a higher value than that of the dealer without breaking 21.

How are hand values determined? In blackjack each card numbered from 2 through 10 is worth its face value; face cards (Jack, Queen and King) are worth 10 points each; and Aces are worth either 1 or 11, depending on which value is better for your hand. When the Ace is counted as 1 the hand is known as a "hard" hand; when the Ace is counted as 11 the hand is known as a "soft" hand.

Before a game of blackjack begins all players place their bets down on the table. Once all players have wagered, the dealer deals out two face up cards to each player. The dealer takes two cards as well, but one is placed face down until the end of the game. Based on the dealer's up-card (or "hole" card) and each player's cards, each player must decide whether to hit, stand, double down or split. These options are described in more detail below. The player wants to make the best choice to increase the value of his hand as high as possible without breaking a total of 21.

Once the players have made their decisions, the dealer flips over his hole card. If his hand is worth a hard total of 17 through 21 he stands. If his hand is worth 16 or less he takes additional cards until he reaches 17 or busts. The dealer also hits on soft 17.

The player's options in more detail are as follows:

Hit

The player may hit, accepting an additional card to his 2-card hand. If your 2-card hand is worth 10 points than you risk nothing by hitting, as the highest value card you can get is an 11-point Ace, which brings your total to a perfect 21.

Stand

When a player stands he does not accept additional cards, but simply stays with his original hand.

Double Down

When a player doubles down they take one additional card and double their initial bet. To double down simply click the "Double" button. You will receive one additional card and no more and your bet will be doubled.

Split

If a player is dealt a pair of cards with identical values (i.e. 5-5, King-10) he has the opportunity to split them into two separate hands. A second card will be dealt to each split card.

Insurance

A player can place an insurance bet, which will insure that if the dealer gets Blackjack the player will not lose his entire bet.

Blackjack Payoffs

In blackjack players may be paid differently depending upon the cards that they have, and the dealer has. If the player beats the dealer by obtaining a higher hand value without breaking 21 they are paid 1:1 odds. If the player beats the dealer with a "blackjack" hand (2-card hand worth 21) the player earns a payout of 3:2. If the dealer beats the player, the player loses his or her wager.

Double Exposure

At first glance seems the same as any other Blackjack game. But this is not so. Both the dealers cards are dealt face up. This of course would mean you have the advantage over the house, which is why other rules have been put in place to even out the advantage. For example; the fact that for all ties in the game the dealer wins, except for BJ, and also that there are 8 regular decks of cards which will of course alter the odds of receiving cards substantially. These rules along with others create a blackjack game which has similar odds to other Online Blackjack games.

  • Both Dealers Cards are dealt Face Up
  • Played with 8 regular decks
  • Dealer must hit on soft 17
  • Dealer wins all ties except for tied BJ
  • Player BJ pays even money
  • Double down on 9, 10 and 11
  • Double down after split
  • Split 3 times to make 4 hands
  • Aces can be re-split
  • Only one card to split Aces
  • A split Ace and a 10 is 21 and not BJ
  • Unlike 10 value cards can be split

3 Reel Slots

3 Reel Slots have three reels, or columns, of symbols. To win on a three reel slot you must get a winning 3-symbol combination. Depending on the slot you may have up to five payout lines-three rows across (top, middle and bottom) or the two diagonals.

5 Reel Slots

5 Reel Slots have five reels, or columns, of symbols. In a five reel slot there are often many more payline combinations, increasing your chances of winning. You must have one of the winning combinations on at least one payout line in order to win.

Bonus Slots

Bonus slot machines have one payout line, in the middle row. However, these slots also include a special bonus symbol that, if spun, earns you a special bonus payout.

Progressive Slots Jackpots

A progressive slot has a jackpot that grows larger and larger with each bet. Every time a player spins the reels the jackpot grows a fraction. Progressive jackpots have been known to grow to huge proportions, breaking the million dollar mark!

It is important to note that in order to qualify for the progressive jackpot or largest payouts on slots you must make the maximum wager. Therefore, it is important to play at a slot machine that fits your personal bankroll.
